My Australian experience : brissy again!

After a lovely road trip, we arrived at the backpackers! IT WAS HOOGE! Felt like we were back at school or at UNI! Was like a maze. So modern is brissy, reminds me a bit like Lego. Very few cars on the road, well Aussies would claim otherwise but they haven't been to London have they?! I mean the nearest to a rush hour we have experienced is walking back at 5pm, this rush hour was a pedestrian one, hoards of people crossing roads everywhere like ants, but still not close to the English style rush hour!
..very random, too...a beach in the middle if the city, we lay in the sand catching rays then for a dip, so odd. A parkland too, 16ha of it, and through the trees a view of the gigantic skyscrapers, Brissy had it all.

A funny story, well kind of sad too, sitting eating THE nicest invention ever - Nutella filled hot cross bun- YUM, and on the table next to us is a family, two little kids and dad, enjoying their pasta, surrounded by Ibis', the vultures. The little boy is doing an excellent job of keeping them away and guarding the pasta until for one second he looks the other way...they literally swarmed his bucket of pasta, jumped into the table and ripped it down to the ground, tens of them, and then two little pigeons! Well, you should have seen the look on his face, not a happy chap!

...karaoke night with KRAZY KATHY..all going well, the singers were surprisingly good for a karaoke at a bar! Hence why we didn't go up! Until...a group of lads came on, you could tell they were English from a mile off, rowdy, drunk, dry humping everything, arms round each other and singing like a football chant! Oh the English, never fail to disappoint! The fun didn't stop there though, the night was definitely topped off by an exceedingly drunk lady literally grinding the floor and slut dropping like you've never seen...on an empty dance floor!
...We also love Brissy because we were able to meet up with a friend there...she showed us into the World of 'Max Brennens', an entirely chocolate filled menu cafe! Like literally pools of chocolate everywhere, you needed water, and lots of it, to wash down the choc! But it was LUSH!

...so there we have it, my second visit to Brissy, and a successful one, made even better with the knowledge that Ladies night at our next stop provides free drinks all night! Surfers Paradise, HERE WE COME!
